To ensure the success of IISAC's Semester India and Faculty-led programs in Kerala, Prof. Sunny Luke took the initiative to produce an extraordinary academic book titled "Introduction to Kerala Studies." This two-volume reference-cum-textbook, spanning 1,400 pages, features 87 chapters covering various disciplines of Kerala studies, which is now available at various U.S. universities as part of their international curriculum.

This interdisciplinary book on Kerala, published by IISAC, was utilized by Semester India students at the University of Kerala as part of their regional studies. Additionally, U.S. professors who participated in the faculty-led program adopted the book as their primary text for conducting field studies across Kerala. It includes topics such as Tropical Biodiversity & Ecology, Tropical Public Health, Kerala Culture & History, Social Issues in Kerala, Religious Pluralism, Alternative Medicine of India, Tropical Agriculture, Aquaculture & Horticulture, and Sustainable Development & Environmental Issues.
